pianca italy | limbo modular seating | new item Soft seating system of sofas, lounge chairs, chaises, modular elements, and ottomans filled with a mix of polyester and polystyrene pearls. Casually sophisticated, Limbo recalls the original bean bag chairs from the seventies - but in a modern reinterpretation with the technological benefits of an improved filling method, and the ability to create sectional compositions. In the modular sectional compositions, elements are joinged with a combination of zippers on the back and non visible straps on the base. Bases are lined with rubber mesh to prevent the units from slipping. Covers are available in fabric or leather. As it is normal over time for polystyrene pearls to lose volume, Limbo has been designed so that it is possible to replenish the filling by accessing the interior chambers from the zippered base. Adding additional filling which is available for purchase as a refill kit, will bring the sofa back to its original volume when needed.
